Waking up to international rugby on ESPN 3.

Some background. It’s always been a challenge to watch rugby in North America. Sometimes on cable, sometimes available via Internet. Sometimes behind a paywall or wall of indifference. I first started watching in the 80s and 90s when ESPN and later Fox had to fill their schedule with something.

My Favorite part of today’s ESPN3 transmissions (via Internet and Apple TV but not yet cable) are the halftime segments. There are no commercials (a rarity) and we hear the stadium soundscape, including announcements in Scottish and bits of music.
