2013 Maori Language Week

2013 Te Wiki o te Reo Maori (Maori Language Week) is July 1-7. The theme is Nga ingoa Maori or Maori names.

Arohatia te Reo remains the tahuhu, the base for Maori Language Week, however the ‘ingoa’ theme asks communities to consider important matters such as correct pronunciation, understanding the meaning of place-names and using Maori names more often.
