On this final Maya Monday before the 21st, a few questions:
Are locals – and particularly Maya – satisfied with tourism development and promotion?
Did we hear much from Maya-owned tourism services via the social web?
Did Mexico reach its goal of 52 million visitors to the Maya World?
How do visitors rank their experiences with the Maya? Are visitors satisfied or not when it comes to their tours, interpretation and other experiences?
Thanks to friends and editors we have diligently updated the Maya Wiki and Slideshare presentation which I’m pleased to report has garnered some 8,000 views. My take is that on December 22 there will be a lot of people more curious than ever about the Maya culture and the means by which to visit Maya people face-to-face. We will continue explore the topic in 2013 starting with Responsible Travel Week (February 11-17). Join us!
