Talking Tourism and Biodiversity at #COP11

Thanks to Alok Raj Gupta from the Rio Conventions Pavilion for recording this conversation with me at the Eleventh meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, aka COP11. My point: if ideas being floated at COP11 to enable more sustainable tourism and better biodiversity protection are to come to fruition, governments will have to change the status quo.

Governments typically have separate departments for the environment and tourism, but they will need to start talking to each other if there is to be any serious progress developing a tourism sector that provides mutual benefits.
