Manaakitanga

Manaakitanga = respect for hosts and kindness to guests

This Maori concept is one of my favorites as it solidifies the notion that tourism offers a potential win-win situation. Out of balance it doesn’t work as someone gets taken advantage. To explore this further, I’ve included manaakitanga in buzzword bingo as a fun game in which we learn some important lingo beyond the Angosphere.

Taking this to the next level requires your assistance. How would you translate manaakitanga into another language?
